is a role open to all recent graduates (December 2025 and May 2026 graduates). Expected start date: January 2026 or May/June 2026. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team dedicated to providing high-level professional services to clients. A Civil Graduate Engineer works on a team providing support to licensed Civil Engineers while learning the company’s standard practices and local agency codes. The Civil Graduate Engineer will spend time involved in public infrastructure projects doing technical calculations, plan and specification production, and assisting in project management tasks. In pursuit of a Professional Engineering license, the applicant should be organized, self-motivated, and able to collaboratively solve complex issues on time and within budget. Responsibilities

Assist project team in design of public infrastructure work Assist project team in preparation of construction drawings, technical specifications, and contract documents Prepare engineering reports, feasibility studies, and utility evaluations Prepare various exhibits and design drawings using AutoCAD Civil3D, Bluebeam, and MicroStation Coordinate with agency staff and internal support teams on designs, analysis, and issues Utilize Microsoft Office Suite to develop calculations in Excel, reports and letters in Word, and presentations in PowerPoint Assist with construction drawings using AutoCAD Civil3D and/or MicroStation including grading plans, plan and profiles, construction details, etc. Required Skills

Outgoing, friendly, approachable (team player) Strong communication skills with team members and clients, demonstrates active listening techniques Proficient in computer software (Word, Excel, AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation, Outlook, Microsoft Project) Competent technical skills required to complete engineering tasks Able to pro-actively pursue design solutions Ability to be open to others’ ideas and willing to compromise Detail-oriented but also flexible enough to be big picture/conceptual Able to compromise and accept others’ ideas Good reputation among peers, clients, and agencies Able to follow general directions and guidelines for the firm’s policies, practices, and procedures A supportive team member with the ability to work both independently and within a collaborative environment Required Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or the ability to obtain within 6-12 months Engineer-in-Training Certificate, or the ability to obtain within 6-12 months Basic knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3D software Seniority level
