St. Luke’s Cedar Rapids Emergency Department has been providing compassionate care to our community members of all ages (birth to end of life) 24 hours a day, 365 days per year for the last 140 years. One minute, you may care for a patient with a sore throat. The next minute you may be caring for a critically ill patient from a major motor vehicle collision. Our Emergency Department team members are experts in critical care and stabilization. The ED Tech is responsible for a variety of tasks and services to assist in the provision of care and comfort for patients under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
