Avon Fields Golf Course is hiring! This position assists in administering all daily operations including, but not limited to: facilitating sales, assisting with merchandise, operating POS system, managing handicap and tee sheet applications, acting as ranger, starter, guest relations, outside service, or golf shop shifts.
Essential Duties:
Assist in managing point of sales applications related to green fee sales, merchandise sales, and member/guest billing, including policy updates in coordination with Accounting.
Reconcile daily tee sheets, perform check-in, process payments, and resolve discrepancies such as duplicate charges or over/under payments.
Promote all club golf activities.
Assist in creating lesson plans and providing individual and group instruction.
Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked golf shop; assist with procurement and merchandising.
Prepare for golf outings, including coordinating scorecards, cart labels, rules sheets, and other materials.
Monitor member scores, report handicaps to USGA, and bill members accordingly.
Follow established opening and closing procedures.
Assist with staff training and incorporate safe work practices.
Ensure regular and reliable attendance.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree (AA) or 6 months to 1 year related experience/training, or equivalent.
Ability to read and speak English; knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with POS and tee time systems.
Current PGA/LGPA Membership.
Physical and Environmental Demands: Regular standing, walking, sitting, occasional climbing, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Works outdoors and in humid conditions; moderate noise level.
