This position is primarily located on the main Clemson University Campus in Edwards Hall with additional responsibilities for simulation activities at a second site of instruction in Greenville, SC. Location: 410 Edwards Hall, Clemson, SC 29634. Open Date: Jun 20, 2025. Deadline: Sep 30, 2025 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time. The anticipated start date is August 2025. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. The ideal candidate will possess experience in foundations of Nursing and mentoring Nursing students to be successful. Teaching experience at the University level that enhances students' critical thinking and clinical decision-making abilities is expected. The candidate will have comfort with the mentoring and retention strategies to promote student success. This position will identify at-risk students and develop study plans for the students. It will coordinate study skills workshops and create a supportive learning environment. Prior engagement with curricular revision and incorporation of multiple classroom instructional technology methods would be evident. Must have a master's degree in nursing.
Responsibilities
Teaching: Teach in classroom, mentoring students, creating study skills workshops, and developing success plans.
Research and Scholarship: Ensure that classroom course materials are evidence-informed.
Service: Serve on School, College and University committees as elected or appointed.
Collegial Engagement: Participate in School-wide planning initiatives to support SON mission, vision, and goals.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Nursing
Eligible for South Carolina RN License
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
Experience in collaborative relationships between practice and academic organizations
Experience teaching in higher education and working with diverse student populations
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Nurse Educator
Proficiency with emerging healthcare technologies and information systems
