Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in basic science or equivalent and 7 years related experience.
Master’s degree in basic science or equivalent and 5 years related experience.
Job Description Senior Research Associate oversees the daily activities and work assignments of the research staff.
Responsibilities The position involves investigating the role of aging and inflammation in neurodegeneration of the retina and brain, with the goal of identifying novel mechanisms and therapeutic interventions. Responsibilities include conducting non-invasive imaging, functional testing, histological analyses, molecular biology, and biochemical studies. Under the supervision of Dr. Zhang, the researcher will design and perform experiments, analyze data, and disseminate findings through peer-reviewed publications.
Work Locations Dr. Zhang’s laboratory (Building 21, Rooms 4.600, 4.602, 4.604) and shared laboratory spaces (Building 21, Rooms 4.500, 4.502, 4.506A, and 4.506D).
Salary Range Commensurate with experience.
