Weaver seeks a State and Local Tax (SALT) Manager to join the Sales and Use (Indirect) Tax division of our SALT practice. The Sales and Use Tax Manager will work on multiple complex tax engagements and contribute to the delivery of innovative sales and use tax planning ideas for our diverse clients. The role includes leading projects and a team of sales and use tax professionals. Responsibilities

Work on complex Indirect tax audits, managed audits, and recovery of tax overpayments (reverse audits). Prepare complex tax research projects for clients in diverse industries by researching and analyzing a wide range of tax issues and tax implications. Provide consulting services to corporate clients using accounting and taxation knowledge. Lead projects and mentor a team of sales and use tax professionals. Qualifications

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field CPA, CMI or JD 5+ years of state and local tax experience in a public accounting firm, tax services firm or similar industry Experience with indirect (sales & use) tax compliance and consulting Preferred

Master’s degree in Accounting or related field Proven ability to manage, mentor and develop staff Strong relationship management and practice development skills Ability to attract and service new clients and expand services to existing clients Compensation and Benefits

Compensation range for this position in the California and New York Metropolitan areas is approximately $120,000 to $175,000. Actual compensation will be based on experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan. We offer flexible scheduled time off (STO), a minimum of 56 hours of sick and safe leave, 11 holidays, and 2 scheduled recharge days. We also provide in-house CPE and learning opportunities through our internal Learning & Development department.
