You must be a graduate of an AVMA accredited veterinary school. You must have passed (or pending) the NAVLE. You must have (or be eligible for) a license to practice in the state of interest. Why You Will Gain From EmERge
You will receive one-to-one peer guided mentorship in emergency medicine designed to prepare you to become a highly trained and confident emergency clinician. The program provides valuable experience by combining case-based lectures, interactive seminars, hands-on practice labs, and mentoring. Joining BluePearl's EmERge program will provide you with the opportunity to learn from the highest skilled emergency clinicians in the industry. Not only will you receive valuable training from experienced veterinarians, but you will also be paid real world salary from the first day of your course. Program Structure
EmERge is a one-year training program, followed by a one-year post-EmERge commitment. The program is divided into 3 phases: Phase 1 (Weeks 1-14)
4 Weeks of Bootcamp: Virtual (Weeks 1-2) and in-person (Weeks 3-4) training to build foundational emergency medicine skills. 2 Weeks of Specialty Rotations: Exposure to various specialties to enhance understanding and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team. 8 Weeks of ER Shifts: Apply training in a real-world setting under mentorship. Phase 2 (Weeks 15-32)
Increased Responsibility: Transition to managing more complex cases with greater independence while still receiving guidance. ER Shift Focus: Full shifts in the ER to develop critical thinking and decision-making in a fast-paced environment. Ongoing Mentorship: Regular check-ins to review cases, address challenges, and refine skills. Exposure to Diverse Cases: Handle a variety of emergency cases to broaden expertise. Ongoing Didactics: Weekly webinar series to enhance learning and keep updated on practices in emergency veterinary medicine. Phase 3 (Weeks 33-52)
Independent Case Management: Take full responsibility for managing emergency cases. Continued Collaboration: Work with the hospital team to provide exceptional patient care while honing leadership and communication skills. Advanced Skill Application: Apply advanced diagnostic and procedural skills to high-acuity cases. Mentor Support: Maintain access to mentor guidance as needed. Ongoing Didactics: Weekly webinar series to stay updated on latest practices. Salary and Benefits
