Overview ADUSA Distribution is the distribution company of Ahold Delhaize USA, providing distribution services to a large grocery retail supply chain. We support the evolution to an integrated self-distribution model, serving brands such as Food Lion, Giant Food, The GIANT Company, Hannaford and Stop & Shop.

Position Summary In partnership with the Director of Safety & Asset Protection and ADUSA Distribution & Transportation Campus Leadership, provide direction and support to a designated ADUSA campus to deliver proactive leadership and instruction in security and asset protection. Promote asset protection programs to foster a safe working environment while protecting company assets, preventing crime and loss through policies, procedures, technology, training, and collaboration with regional and site leadership.

Primary Duties & What you’ll be Trusted to Deliver

Strong dotted line reporting to the distribution center Campus Director.

Directs the security and asset protection function at the designated distribution center including transportation oversight and compliance.

Protects associates, visitors, and company property against theft, error, illegal entry, and illegal activities.

Promotes adherence to company policies and procedures; familiarizes associates with company rules and regulations.

Maintains formal and informal channels of communication through the organization.

Crisis Management: 24/7 responsibility to respond to all distribution and transportation emergencies at the campus.

Performs other duties as assigned by corporate management.

Distribution Security / Asset Control

Manages, tests, and maintains physical security systems (CCTV, intrusion alarms, fire alarms, access control, lighting, fencing, perimeter control) to comply with company, state, and federal regulations.

Conducts and coordinates security inspections of facilities and distribution processes (including seals, padlocks, access, weapons detection, shipping audits, load integrity, and driver performance).

Identifies security risks and develops remediation plans to control inventory and prevent unauthorized entry.

Develops programs to educate and raise awareness of shrink and security controls.

Develops short and long-term asset protection strategies and implements initiatives to provide a safe work environment and protect assets.

Maintains compliance with FDA, DEA, and Customs/Homeland Security recommendations and requirements.

Conducts audits at distribution centers and supports internal control processes; reports findings to leadership.

Develops and implements comprehensive security plans during labor disputes, civil unrest, emergency response, and weather-related incidents.

Trains, manages, and develops security staff; participates in grievance processes for union associates; reviews site contracts and oversees staffing coordination.

Prepares and manages the annual asset protection budget for the distribution centers.

Responds to emergency calls during weekends and off-duty periods.

Drives operational programs and system enhancements (QA, Inbound/Outbound, data and reporting buildouts).

Protects sensitive information by adhering to information security practices and controls; ensures vendors adhere to policies; reports violations or breaches.

Investigations and Legal Proceedings

Manages, coordinates, and conducts asset protection investigations (theft, burglary, threats, violence, EEOC issues, Wage and Hour issues, etc.) and reports findings to Labor Relations, Human Resources, Legal, and site leadership.

Acts as liaison with Corporate Counsel, Labor Relations/HR, government and law enforcement agencies, and other stakeholders.

Provides expert testimony in designated civil or criminal litigation.

Safety

Ensures facility compliance with fire and safety standards; assists in safety program implementation.

Assists in accident investigations and maintains a close working relationship with the safety department.

Assists and conducts crisis drills (tornado, fire, etc.).

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

College degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.

5-7 years of experience as an Asset Protection Manager or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

Certified Training Program (Wicklander-Zulawski or Reed training).
