The Concierge is responsible for assisting guests with their needs, including making reservations, offering local recommendations, and providing personalized guest services to ensure a memorable stay.
Job Description:
Greet and welcome guests, ensuring a warm and friendly atmosphere. Answer guest inquiries and address concerns promptly. Assist guests with luggage and direct them to various areas of the hotel. Make reservations for dining, entertainment, and activities. Coordinate transportation, tours, and special requests. Provide local recommendations, including attractions, restaurants, and events. Handle guest complaints and find appropriate solutions. Answer phones and direct calls as needed. Assist with luggage handling and storage. Perform general administrative duties and maintain records.
Skills and qualifications:
Excellent Customer Service Skills: The ability to create a positive and memorable experience for guests is essential. Strong Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication with both guests and other departments is required. Organizational Skills: Must be able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to handle guest complaints and find solutions quickly. Local Knowledge: A good understanding of the area, local attractions, and events is beneficial. Multilingual Skills (Optional): Speaking multiple languages can be an advantage.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred. Basic knowledge of hotel operations and services. Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
