University of Virginia The University of Virginia Department of Drama seeks creative and committed instructors to join our teaching team for the 2025–2026 academic year. We are hiring part-time, non-tenure track Lecturers to teach courses in

Acting I

and

Speaking in Public . Anticipated teaching load is 1 to 4 courses across the academic year.

This wage-based position pays

$8,000 per course . We’re looking for instructors who bring strong teaching experience, clear communication skills, and a commitment to creating inclusive, engaging learning environments. A terminal degree is preferred but not required.
