Promote trust and respect among associates with a positive attitude. Communicate company, department, and job-specific information to associates. Establish department performance goals and empower associates to meet or exceed targets through teamwork. Develop adequate scheduling to manage customer volume. Train and develop associates on their job performance and participate in performance appraisals. Adhere to all laws, company guidelines, and food safety regulations. Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products and specials. Prepare deli/bakery items per customer requests, including slicing meats and cheeses with proper equipment. Offer product samples to help customers discover new items. Provide fresh products with correct portion sizes to prevent shrinkage. Inform and educate associates on promotions and implement promotional plans. Assist in preparing the store/department budget, expense control, and financial reviews. Schedule price changes and maintain promotional signage. Manage inventory processes, note discrepancies, and train staff on inventory and computer ordering systems. Ensure food safety by following temperature logs and cooking instructions. Reinforce safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and report hazards or incidents. Perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Qualifications

Minimum Must be 18 or older Knowledge of basic math Ability to handle stressful situations Current food handler's permit upon employment High school diploma or equivalent Experience in retail, deli, or bakery Ability to speak, read, and write in a second language Job Info
