Full-Time, 181 Day Contract 9 Sick Leave Days, 5 Personal Leave Days (Prorated) TRF Position with Certified Benefits Salary Range - Based on Degree, Certification, & Experience Responsibilities

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with Indiana Academic Standards for high school Language Arts. Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and collaboration. Utilize a variety of teaching methods and instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students, including differentiation and personalized learning approaches. Foster a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking skills among students through literature circles, writing workshops, and meaningful class discussions. Incorporate technology effectively into instruction to enhance learning experiences and promote digital literacy. Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback to students and parents/guardians. Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary units and projects that integrate language arts with other subject areas. Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and academic concerns. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated on best practices in teaching and learning. Contribute to the school community through involvement in extracurricular activities, committees, and school events. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. Valid Indiana teaching license with appropriate endorsements in Language Arts or English Language Arts for high school. Proven experience teaching Language Arts or English Language Arts at the high school level. Strong knowledge of Indiana Academic Standards for Language Arts and proficiency in integrating literacy across the curriculum. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Flexibility, creativity, and a growth mindset in response to the diverse needs of students and the changing landscape of education. Technological proficiency and willingness to integrate educational technology into instruction. Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
