Overview
Psychologist - Independent Contractor - Suitability Law Enforcement for Valor Healthcare. Short term contract to conduct in-person psychological evaluations for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC), Office of Public Protection (OPP) as part of the Forest Ranger program. This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Responsibilities
Provide in-person evaluations. Demonstrate excellent writing skills, translating sound clinical judgment into clear and appropriate recommendations for initial or continued employment. Complete and submit all required documentation accurately and promptly in the required format. Provide exceptional customer service. Qualifications
PsyD or PhD from an accredited doctoral program. Valid and unrestricted NY state license. At least three (3) years of prior experience assessing the suitability of candidates for employment as police officers/law enforcement. Experience with one or more Electronic Health Records systems. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams). Must be a US citizen and reside in the United States. Employment details
Contract type: 1099 independent contractor Compensation: $175 - $200 per evaluation Contingent upon contract award, client approval, completion of a favorable background investigation, and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust / High Risk clearance.
