Celebrations Speech Group is hiring a credentialed Education Specialist / Special Education Teacher for an in-person role in Oakland, CA, serving middle and high school students for the upcoming school year. We are a private practice and Non-Public Agency (NPA) with decades of experience providing high-quality special education and therapy services in schools, homes, and clinics across California. We work with districts including Oakland Unified School District and other East Bay schools, ensuring educators have the resources to create lasting student impact. Key Responsibilities
Deliver specialized academic instruction to students with learning differences and disabilities in middle and high school settings Manage a caseload and ensure services are aligned with each student’s IEP goals and timelines Lead IEP meetings, develop compliant IEPs, and collaborate with service providers, families, and district staff Administer and interpret standardized assessments to guide instructional planning Adapt and modify curriculum for inclusive settings using co-teaching, push-in, pull-out, and small group instruction Maintain accurate records including IEPs, progress reports, evaluations, and service documentation Collaborate with general education staff to ensure meaningful inclusion and differentiation What We’re Looking For
Required: Valid California Education Specialist and/or Special Education Teaching Credential (CTC) In-person availability for Oakland, CA Knowledge of Special Education law in California, policy, and instructional best practices Preferred: 1+ years of Special Education teaching experience Strong collaboration, organization, and communication skills Positive, student-centered mindset and adaptability Tech-savvy with strong organizational skills Perks & Benefits
