Position summary: The Food Safety Coordinator maintains the documentation critical for the Quality Systems, HACCP and Food Safety and quality Plans and SQF Programs. This position is also back up for the FSQ techs and assists the FSQ Manager with verifying that programs are being executed properly. The FSQ Coordinator position is also responsible for maintaining food safety and quality related documents ensuring quality, holds, sanitation (SSOPs) and production records are legible, accurate, complete, maintained, and easily retrievable for customer and Food Safety and Quality audits. Maintain quality related manuals and records (i.e. SQF training, daily Quality records, pest control documentation, HACCP/Preventive control documents). Assist in investigations in response to customer concerns or other quality related deviations to determine root cause and appropriate corrective actions. Maintain FSQ, sanitation documents — legible, updated; assist in SQF, 3rd party audits, regulatory inspections, plant inspections, mock recalls; review and maintain documents like SOPs. Assist in the management of quality hold activities, including non-conforming product inventories; reporting holds, in-plant, rework updates and managing Chex, holds records. Assist in developing SOPs, SSOPs; manage EMP swabs, locations, updates and corrective actions. Fill in for other QA Technicians across all 3 shifts; must be able to work weekends and overtime as necessary. Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP and HACCP guidelines, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure product quality is maintained to support SQF Quality Certification; report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Education and Experience Required:

One-year certificate from college or technical school or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and in group situations. Ability to respond to questions from internal stakeholders at all levels including management. Basic mathematical skills and proficiency with MS Office for data collection, analysis, and writing procedures and reports. Knowledge of company and regulatory policies, procedures, and philosophies. Proficient organizational and time management skills. Fluency in a language other than English (Spanish preferred). Licenses, Certificates, Registrations:

Examples of licenses, certificates, and registrations required within first 6 months to a year of employment: HACCP Certification, PCQI Certification, SQF Practitioner, Audit Certification (recommended). Compensation

The pay range for this position is $40,016 - $54,421 per year. Employment details
