Overview
Position Summary:
This role is responsible for ensuring compliance to quality and food safety requirements and will work directly with QA management. Responsibilities
Review QA/HACCP paperwork used in all production departments and fill out correctly. Interact with and communicate with various team members in management, QA, and production as well as government officials and 3rd party contractors. Perform all QA technician responsibilities for routine quality checks and audits on production, the dock, and the facility. Develop and maintain databases as needed. Be qualified to perform QA sampling and testing methods. Understand the processes and methods involved in food production. Understand and place appropriate safety procedures in practice through education, training, and the use of protective equipment, following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws. Perform other duties as assigned. Experience & Skills
0-1 years of experience in related field is preferred. Competence in QA transactions, in SAP, Excel, Word and Outlook. Understanding of GMPs, SSOPs, and HACCP principles. Preferred Education
High School Diploma and/or equivalent work experience is required. Work Environment
Work is generally performed within a professional business office environment, with standard office equipment available. Work conditions are typical of an office and plant environment. This role does not require any domestic travel. Required to wear extensive GMP uniforms including hairnets, gloves, lab coats, and rubber boots, and to wear personal protective equipment such as cut resistant gloves, bump cap, and steel mesh gloves with no exceptions. Position requires physical agility to perform continuous lifting up to 15 pounds, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, using hands or fingers, talking, hearing, feeling objects, tools, controls, and standing/walking on concrete flooring. Position requires the physical ability to stand/walk for the duration of work hours.
