ASSISTANT CONFERENCE AND BANQUETING MANAGER The role is based at Chewton Glen Hotel & Spa, New Milton, Hampshire, BH25 6QS, and supports Conference & Banqueting management by taking responsibility for allocated areas, maximising customer satisfaction, and following events road sheets while anticipating and responding positively to guest requests. Responsibilities

Follow and complete instructions from the Conference & Banqueting Manager or senior staff. Ensure Food & Beverage is served to hotel standards within the required time according to the event road sheet. Manage time and productivity effectively. Prepare mise-en-place (polishing silverware, glasses, chinaware) and show pride in work. Set up conference rooms as instructed by management and the events road sheet. Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and appearance. Attend briefings and departmental meetings. Comply with fire, health and safety regulations and follow procedures when required. Demonstrate flexibility and teamwork; perform additional tasks as instructed by the leadership team. Adhere to hotel policies and procedures, including privacy, confidentiality and data protection. Qualifications & Experience

Previous C&B experience in a 5-star background is desirable. Experience in working high-volume events is essential. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Charismatic, personable with a can-do attitude. Excellent at building rapport with guests and team members. Key Responsibilities: Conference & Banqueting Manager

Set up conference rooms as per events road sheet and manage special guest requests for weddings, corporate functions, and events. Lead a small team of permanent and casual staff to ensure accurate staffing for diarised events. Demonstrate leadership, maturity and professionalism at all times. Take ownership of instructions from senior management. Ensure food & beverage is served to hotel standards within the required times. Prepare appropriate mise-en-place according to requests. Collaborate with the wedding and events team for seamless communication. Maintain conference suites in presentable and optimal condition; report issues as needed. Attend briefings and departmental meetings to ensure smooth event delivery. Support events including weddings and meetings with attention to detail and clear communication. What’s in it for you?
