Director of Children and Youth Ministries – Ridley Park Presbyterian Church
Position: Director of Children and Youth Ministries
Overview Ridley Park Presbyterian Church is seeking a part‑time Director of Children and Youth Ministries to lead and coordinate programs for children and youth, ages four through twelve and beyond, in alignment with the church’s beliefs and mission.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and lead Sunday School programs for ages four through grade twelve.
Coordinate and lead regular and consistent youth group programs including Bible study, fellowship, and outreach events.
Coordinate and lead the annual Vacation Bible School program.
Research and recommend curriculums for Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and other special programs.
Supervise all volunteer staff.
Keep the congregation well informed about the church’s children and youth ministries.
Assist the pastor with coordinating and teaching youth confirmation classes and share in the leadership with the pastor for children’s time in the church service.
Perform administrative tasks related to purchasing educational materials and supplies, attendance records, program budget, program calendar, and staff meetings.
Qualifications
Profession of faith in Jesus Christ and the principles and tenets of the Reformed Christian Faith.
Bachelor's Degree in Education and/or Biblical studies is strongly preferred.
Good interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated administrative and organizational skills.
Effective oral and written communications skills.
Experience teaching or working with children in a church setting.
Employment Details
Part-time position
$25,000 annual salary
Twelve months per year (part-time)
Up to 24 hours per week, including Sunday morning obligations
Flexible work schedule – in person and remote
Two weeks paid time off
