This tenure-track position at Assistant or Associate Professor rank starts in August 2024. Benedictine College is located in Atchison, KS, which is small town that is a short drive from larger cities such as St. Joseph, MO, and Kansas City, MO. The Benedictine College School of Engineering has recently completed a $25M expansion and renovation of its engineering building, which provides state-of-the art facilities. The School of Engineering is growing rapidly and currently has 260 students, 13 faculty members, and 2 staff. It offers ABET-accredited degrees in chemical, civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Responsibilities include teaching four classes per semester and engage in appropriate faculty service. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS The successful candidate should hold a M.S. or Ph.D. in civil engineering. He or she must be willing to teach a variety of civil engineering courses and laboratories as well as some general engineering classes. The candidate will be expected to contribute substantially to the development of the BC School of Engineering. Moreover, he or she is expected to exemplify the integration of the Catholic Faith with the engineering profession. Teaching and industrial experience are desirable.
