As a City of Rancho Cucamonga Recreation Leader, you will help provide programming at city parks, community centers, or other recreational areas within the city. The Community Services Department (CSD) offers a wide range of programs including youth summer camps, youth sports, contracted classes, and large special events. CSD also manages daily operations of city facilities and parks to provide quality spaces for community gathering. Depending on your qualifications and interests, Recreation Leaders may be assigned to summer camps, facility operations, special events, or as park monitors.

We are hiring for the following areas:
Youth Summer Camp, Concerts & Movies in the Park, Special Events, Lewis Family Playhouse, Event Services, and Marketing. Responsibilities vary based on assignment and may include: Implementing daily lesson plans. Assisting with craft activities. Ensuring a fun and safe environment for participants. Setting up and cleaning up activities and events. Leading camp songs and mentoring children. Providing memorable experiences for participants. Additional responsibilities include: Working with the community during events like Movies in the Park, Concerts, and Fireworks. Providing excellent customer service and welcoming visitors. Assisting with facility operations and event management. Enforcing regulations and policies. For Patron Services at the Lewis Family Playhouse, duties include: Delivering outstanding customer service with a positive attitude. Assisting patrons with tickets and technology. Guiding guests and managing event setup. Qualifications include:
Completion of 12th grade and some experience in group recreation leadership or related training. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Understanding of rules for athletic and recreational activities; ability to follow instructions; work safely and efficiently. Physical Demands:
Standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, and leading activities. Working Conditions:
Mostly in a clean environment; outdoor work possible during evenings and weekends. Application Process:
