Market Research Associate/Senior Market Research Associate – Fitch Ratings (New York)

Business & Relationship Management (BRM) is seeking a Market Research Associate/Senior Market Research Associate based in our New York office. This role provides the opportunity to work with senior team members in Fitch’s Global Funds & Asset Managers (FAM) Group. The group engages with market participants to generate business opportunities across a variety of fund structures, mainly in private equity/credit markets. The candidate will be responsible for several tasks critical to managing a large deal pipeline, with emphasis on data management, invoicing, and revenue reporting. This role reports to senior management. The position offers a chance to develop market-facing skills in the private funds industry and grow in relationship management within a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

Track, organize, and maintain a comprehensive and accurate database of current and prospective deals/transactions, ensuring records are up to date and easily accessible. Monitor data related to current and prospective deals; coordinate with Fitch’s finance team to ensure proper and timely invoicing. Prepare summaries related to business growth, revenue growth, and prospective deals for senior management. Coordinate with Fitch’s finance team to process billing and ensure proper revenue management; this area has high visibility from senior management. Manage and organize data in MS Excel and other tools/dashboards; assist in creating and maintaining templates for recurring reports to senior management. Prepare commercial agreement documents; monitor deal status and follow up with internal and external stakeholders to move opportunities forward. Schedule and attend client meetings, take detailed notes, and maintain data in internal systems as directed by senior BRMs. Identify process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance the efficiency of data and revenue management. Requirements

Relevant university degree, preferably in business, finance, economics, data analytics, or a related field. Exceptional data management, accounting, and invoicing/revenue management skills. Proven experience managing transaction pipelines and revenue management is preferred. High attention to detail is required. Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, macros) with ability to manage large volumes of information and generate summary reports for senior management, often on short notice. Self-starter with strong time management and advanced organizational skills. Advanced PowerPoint skills to prepare presentations for senior management. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with internal/external stakeholders and a desire to grow into a market-facing role. Proactive, take-solution oriented attitude with accountability to the senior team. Ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Desirable Experience

Familiarity with private equity/credit markets and/or funds industry experience. Experience managing a large client base or pipeline with responsibility for accurate and timely invoicing. Prior knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce). Ambition to develop market-facing skills and advance into a client-facing role. Why Fitch?

FOR NEW YORK ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $70,000 and $80,000 per year. Actual salaries are determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including education, training, experience, and other job-related factors. Base pay is part of Fitch’s total compensation, which may include commission, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits.
