Overview
A Postdoctoral position is available in the Department of Leukemia, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX. Reports to Hussein A. Abbas, MD, PhD (primary mentor). Responsibilities
Conduct experimental leukemia research with a focus on immunology of T and NK cells. Develop and utilize in vitro and in vivo models for immune biology and leukemia research. Perform molecular and cellular biology experiments and functional genomics studies. Engage in co-culture assays, flow cytometry, immune assays, and in vivo murine studies. Collaborate with experimental and computational team members. Learning objectives
Candidates will learn translational work integrated with immunology, functional genomics, and computational results; work in a team-based science environment. Eligibility Requirements
Ph.D. in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, or a related field, with a focus on immunology. Demonstrated experience with immunology and mouse models. Proficiency in cellular and molecular biology techniques and flow cytometry. Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read and interpret scientific literature, design and troubleshoot experiments, and present work. Up to 1 year from PhD graduation. Additional Information
Position information: MD Anderson offers full-time postdoc positions with salary ranging from $64,000 to $76,000, depending on years of postgraduate experience.
