Landscape Designer
for its Landscape Architecture practice in its multidisciplinary office space in
Herndon, Virginia . Our client is a dynamic, multidisciplinary engineering, planning, and design consultancy with an employee-centric culture and a community-driven, local portfolio. Since their inception, our client\'s Landscape Architecture studio has built a rich legacy of designing spaces that enliven communities, promote public welfare, drive sustainability, and inspire innovation. From large scale campus plans and K-12 facilities to small scale intimate courtyards and planned residential communities; their diverse portfolio allows for heightened learning and well-rounded expertise.
Key Responsibilities
As a Landscape Designer, you will receive hands on mentorship while collaborating with a close-knit team to develop innovative design solutions for a myriad of project typologies. Key responsibilities include: Collaborate with project team members to guide and shape the design and delivery of projects of various scales and types. Assist with the preparation of design and construction drawings for both landscape and general site designs including layout, grading, and hardscape. Work closely with senior team members to generate conceptual designs using a variety of hand-drawn and digital techniques. Prepare digital graphics and renderings with Adobe Creative Suite and presentation software. Provide graphic design, technical production, urban and landscape design, and site planning support for a variety of projects including but not limited to mixed-use residential development, streetscapes, parks, and other community facility design.
Preferred Qualifications
1 + year(s) of experience in the field of landscape architecture Experience with Sketchup, Revit, and other 3D modeling platforms. Have a passion for collaboration throughout the design and execution of projects.
