Research Associate Scientific I – Randstad Life Sciences US

Location: Round Lake, IL

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $25.00 - $29.60 per hour

Work Hours: 9 to 5

Education: Bachelor’s degree

Responsibilities

Conduct critical chemical and physical analyses on finished product R&D stability samples.

Additional support for testing of raw materials, in‑process, and final product samples.

Perform chemical assays using precise analytical skills.

Complete all testing, including special project and protocol testing, in a timely manner to meet project schedules.

Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with SOPs, FDA, cGxP, and QSR regulations.

Collaborate with other functions to solve problems, increase efficiency, and provide product support.

Use sophisticated laboratory instrumentation (HPLC, pH, UV, titrations, particle, TOC, flame photometry, etc.) and computer systems to collect and record data.

Follow, understand, and comply with Company SOPs, cGMP policies, and safety requirements.

Maintain laboratory safety requirements, perform equipment maintenance/calibration, and troubleshoot instrumentation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline (chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, biology) and 6 months or more of experience.

Experience with analytical chemistry instrumentation (pH, UV, titrations, particle, TOC) is preferred but not required.

Experience in a regulated environment and strong technical problem‑solving skills.

Strong oral and written communication skills, strong analytical skills, and detail oriented.

Electronic Lab Notebook experience is preferred but not required.

Pharmaceutical GMP laboratory experience is desired.

Empower experience is preferred.

Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and in a timely fashion.

Relevant laboratory/technical, writing, and computer skills.

Effective communication of complex information with managers and peers.

This is an on‑site position.

Physical Activities And Requirements

Must be able to write by hand and use computers for the majority of the work day.

Must transfer materials, mix solutions/product(s), open products, and perform laboratory testing.

May require standing for extended periods.

Must lift up to 10 pounds routinely.

Must not be color blind.
