Overview
School Bus Driver - No Exp Needed - Training Provided Pay: $16.00/hr - $29.00/hr (base pay range). Location: 26 W 115 St Charles Rd., Carol Stream, IL 60188. Hiring immediately – no experience necessary – training provided. Walk-in interviews: Monday–Friday 9:30am–12:00pm and 1:00pm–2:00pm (bring a friend). Company name: Durham School Services. Provides safe and reliable transportation by operating a school bus or other vehicle on a fixed or changing route. Exhibits ethical practices and integrity; shares concerns about suspicious or inappropriate behavior with a supervisor or manager. Reports to duty on time and maintains on-time routes in a safe manner. Physically assists passengers in evacuation of the vehicle in case of emergency. Immediately reports any accident or incident per Company policy. Follows company policy around student and/or passenger management. Informs appropriate personnel of problems or procedures. Presents a neat and professional appearance at all times. Completes required paperwork (including route change sheets, time cards, vehicle repair requests) and submits timely. Maintains a cooperative attitude with colleagues, supervisors, customers, and passengers while promoting company goodwill. Safely and efficiently uses vehicle equipment, including wheelchair lifts, radios, and emergency equipment. Other duties as assigned. Paratransit driver responsibilities may apply per location. Must be at least 21 years of age; for Tennessee School Bus Drivers, at least 25 years old per state law. Must possess, or be able to obtain, all valid applicable state licenses and required certifications to operate company vehicles. Must meet physical and medical requirements and pass substance abuse screening; as a safety-sensitive employee, subject to random substance abuse screening per policy. Must satisfactorily complete and pass all training. Must practice defensive driving and maintain safe driving and work habits. Compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local driver requirements.
