Position Summary:

The

Los Angeles, Anaheim, and San Diego

campus locations have immediate openings for Non-Core (Adjunct) Faculty members in the

Marriage & Family Therapy

(MFT) division. The MFT Division offers a COAMFTE-accredited M.A. in Marriage, Couples, and Family Therapy at all three campuses and in a Distance Learning format, and a PsyD in Marriage and Family Therapy at the Los Angeles and Anaheim campuses. Adjunct teaching assignments are based on division needs and are not guaranteed. Classes are offered during Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters, typically with 8-15 students per class.

Responsibilities:

Adjunct faculty are expected to engage in course instruction, syllabus preparation, curriculum planning, student consultation and mentorship, student evaluation, communication with the division, and attendance at division meetings and trainings.

Skills:

Effective communication with diverse learners, proficiency with computer and technology tools, ability to work independently and collaboratively, problem-solving skills, flexibility, discretion, and confidentiality are essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

A doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related discipline, licensure as an LMFT in California, commitment to education and community impact, and AAMFT-Approved Supervisor eligibility are preferred.
