Responsibilities

Ascension St. Vincent is looking for an APP for our Trauma Surgery team.

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension St. Vincent to provide medical services to patients.

Position Highlights:

Adult and Pediatric Trauma Services Assist with Trauma Surgeries Fast paced environment

Responsibilities:

Obtain patient history and perform assessment via observation, interview and examination. Order, perform and interpret diagnostic studies. Perform preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and patient care. Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions via referral to other healthcare providers or community resources. Counsel and educate patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources. Document delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy.

Requirements

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. One or more of the following required: Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Physician Assistant credentialed from the Indiana Physician Assistant Committee obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred. Orthopedic Physician Assistant preferred.

Education:

Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred.

Work Experience:

1 year of experience preferred.
