Adjunct Credit Instructor - Drama Texas Southmost College

is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach Drama courses in a fully digital learning environment. The adjunct will serve as a leader, teacher, advisor, and facilitator of learning and will be accountable to the College’s policies, procedures, and strategic plan.

Job Summary The adjunct faculty member will design and deliver high-quality instruction, manage learning environments, assess student learning, and pursue ongoing professional development. The role emphasizes continuous improvement of student success and alignment with Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board core curriculum objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Plan and develop curriculum and instructional materials that meet Classroom Sequencing, Student Learning Outcomes, and assessment requirements.

Maintain accurate syllabi, attendance records, and grading records, and provide constructive feedback to students throughout the semester.

Deliver effective instruction using the College’s digital learning solution, incorporating diverse learning activities that support individual student differences.

Integrate real-life contexts to encourage critical thinking, interdisciplinary skills, and teamwork, and collaborate with students and employers in occupational settings as appropriate.

Collaborate with colleagues to construct and continuously improve measurable learning outcomes, including THECB core curriculum objectives and College-specific objectives.

Design and administer assessments that demonstrate student growth, align assessment with learning opportunities, and support the TSC institutional effectiveness program.

Support student learning by making students aware of, and referring them to, appropriate student and academic support services.

Participate collegially in discipline-specific activities, attend the workplace regularly, and follow a work schedule that may include evenings or weekends.

Maintain a learning-centered environment by being available to students during the designated work period and support the values and institutional goals as defined in the College’s Strategic Plan.

Location and Compensation Austin, TX $90,000.00 – $100,000.00
