Job Description An equivalent/applicable combination of education and/or experience to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position is required with teaching in continuing education or community education.

Non-credit Community Education compensation is based on Pay Levels ranging from 1-5. A new faculty’s Pay Level is determined by the campus supervisor and ranges $20–$60 per hour. Pay Levels are determined from varying degrees of expertise and evidence in the instructional area.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) or conversational language abilities preferred.

This position requires the employee to be a resident of the State of Colorado and perform all work duties within the state. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications Supervision of the Position: this position will report to the campus non-credit Community Education coordinator or campus designee.

Essential Duties

Teach course load as assigned.

Teach classes as assigned by designated supervisor.

Prepare appropriate lesson plans for each course in accordance with approved course outcomes.

Develop a professional relationship with students & staff, encouraging communication.

Assist in recruitment of students, as appropriate.

Assist in evaluation of curriculum and instructional performance, when agreed upon.

Represent the college in a professional manner throughout the communities and college district by promoting a positive public image.

Complete all required annual CMC training courses (e.g., Title IX, Digital Accessibility, Data Security and Privacy).

Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions This position requires constant sitting, occasional walking, standing, driving; occasional handling objects, pushing/pulling; frequent reaching with hands/arms, use of finger movements; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 lbs. Constant written and oral communication and the ability to reason and analyze and perform calculations occasionally. Work is performed using a computer and standard office equipment daily and driving a vehicle occasionally.
