Responsibilities Manage electrical, mechanical, and structural design teams on a variety of water/wastewater infrastructure projects for public utility and private clients. Manage planning, design, and construction phase projects while interfacing and coordinating with other engineering disciplines, technicians, inspectors, and permitting specialists. Coordinate with Design Discipline Managers to schedule, plan and assign appropriate personnel. Effectively understand and communicate project expectations to MEPS Infrastructure project team and Client (both internal and external). Prepare design proposals, support project pursuits, and engage in client management and business development activities. Employ earned value and quality management principles to prepare and monitor project work plans, schedule, and budget. Oversee deliverable submission and ensure coordination through all disciplines and consultants involved. Contribute to the continued growth of MEPS Infrastructure through attending conferences, supporting articles professional publications, and actively participating in State and/or National professional associations through committee involvement and technical presentations. Required Skills & Required Experience Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. 10+ years of progressive design and project management experience, minimum 5+ years in the water/wastewater market. Accomplished Professional Engineer (P.E.) in North Carolina, Virginia, or ability to obtain them through reciprocity within 90 days of start date. Experience coordinating engineering work and interfacing with other disciplines as needed. Experience interfacing with clients. Self-motivated with highly developed verbal, written and interpersonal skills. Well organized, with good understanding of electrical, mechanical, and process control systems with general knowledge of applicable codes, national standards, water/wastewater equipment and plant operation, space requirements, and cost.
