Sales Representatives drive business growth within a defined geographic territory through proactive prospecting, estimating, and relationship-based selling. Responsibilities include preparing pricing and quotations, managing pre-bid documentation (qualifications, contracts, and RFIs), resolving contract scope issues, and overseeing order processing, shop drawings, architectural submittals, change orders, and job releases. You will engage with Bidding Networks, participate in industry organizations, and build relationships with Glaziers, General Contractors, and End-Users to promote and sell automatic door solutions. Collaboration with the Architectural and Service Sales Teams is essential to drive specification-based sales. Ongoing training on ASSA ABLOY products, prospecting techniques, and door/electrical hardware knowledge is a key part of the role. Key Responsibilities
Prospect, estimate, price quotations, and conduct relationship selling to develop a geographic sales area. Price and create quotations, handle pre-bid qualifications forms, pre-bid contracts, RFI’s, contract scope issues, order processing, shop drawings, architectural submittals, change orders, and job releases. canvass Bidding Networks and join industry organizations. Establish relationships with Glaziers, General Contractors and End-Users to negotiate selling automatic doors. Collaborate with Architectural and Service Sales Teams to promote sales through specifications. Train on ASSA ABLOY factory products, prospecting, and understanding door hardware components. Coordinate with Installation Coordinator to arrange job site readiness and provide information for installers for successful project completion. What You Will Need
2–5 years of experience in outside sales. Knowledge of the Construction Industry. Ability to read plans and specifications; working knowledge of Storefronts and Door Hardware is favorable. Established network in Retail, Healthcare, and Hospitality recommended. Working knowledge of CRM systems. Understanding of the door install process; willingness to train with Installation Technicians in the field. Professional communication skills (verbal, written, interpersonal). Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and a high-energy, reliable approach to the automatic door business. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. High School Diploma required; AA/BA/BS preferred. Outside B2B sales experience in similar industries; successful commercial construction sales experience preferred. What We Offer
