The State Historical Society of North Dakota is seeking an innovative Education Manager to collaborate with a world-class team to design, implement, and manage innovative public programs, teacher workshops, history curriculum, and educational and exhibit initiatives that help empower people through history.
This onsite position, reporting to the Audience Engagement & Museum Department director, offers flexibility to lead transformative history education and public programs. The manager will create and lead education programs and staff with new models and approaches supporting our mission, expanding community engagement, and increasing the agency’s reach.
The State Historical Society provides world-class visitor experiences and history education through an award-winning history curriculum, exhibits, and interpretative experiences at state museums and historic sites. We’re seeking an innovator who will ignite a passion for learning with fresh ideas—a manager driven to help today’s audiences make meaningful connections to their own stories and the past. This position has a major impact on visitor experiences by overseeing a team providing education initiatives for agency museums, state historic sites, exhibitions, and formal and informal education products and services. This manager will bring visionary leadership in education, interpretive planning, and an understanding of the latest education practices, team building, and program evaluation knowledge.
Salary Range: $5,120.00 To $6,615.00
