This position provides administrative support to the Student Insurance Health Office, serving as a key member of the team during a high-volume period. On-site attendance is essential, given the volume of walk-in and phone inquiries. The administrative assistant will work collaboratively with colleagues to coordinate a broad variety of support to a student-centric environment. Responsibilities
Responds promptly and accurately to a high volume of emails and support tickets using pre-typed, approved templates. Handles walk-in inquiries and incoming phone calls, providing information or directing individuals appropriately. Accurately log and track inquiries and responses in the department’s system. Support document preparation, filing, and basic data entry tasks. Escalate complex or non-standard inquiries to a supervisor. Follow established workflows and adhere to departmental policies and procedures. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient service delivery. Qualifications
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and general office technology. Strong written communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to follow structured processes and use standardized responses. Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service orientation. Punctuality and reliability in maintaining regular on-site attendance. Preferences
Experience working in a higher education, healthcare, or insurance-related setting. Training on internal systems, policies, and template responses will be provided.
