Join the U.S. Secret Service as a Federal Police Officer (Uniformed Division) with a $50,000 Recruitment Incentive. The base pay range for this position is $75,134.00/yr - $129,251.00/yr. Note that relocation to Washington, DC is required for this role. A recruitment incentive of $50,000 may be eligible for applicants, pending regulatory requirements. At the U.S. Secret Service, officers are courageous, intelligent, strong, and determined, with a diverse team balancing investigative and protective missions. Duties Uniformed Division Officers carry out protection assignments, including: Providing protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, and foreign diplomatic missions in Washington, D.C. Traveling in support of Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions. Enforcing protective responsibilities as described under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A. Requirements U.S. citizenship is required. Possess a current valid U.S. driver's license. Be at least age 20 and less than age 37 at the time of conditional offer, unless prior Federal Civilian Law Enforcement experience applies. Carry and use a firearm, with mandatory firearm proficiency. Possess uncorrected visual acuity of no worse than 20/100 binocular and corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye. Hearing loss must not exceed 25 decibels in either ear, with ability to hear whispered voice at 15 feet without a hearing aid. Submit to a drug test prior to appointment and random drug testing while occupying the position. Complete 12 weeks of intensive training at FLETC and 17 weeks of specialized training at the James J. Rowley Training Center. Certify registration with the Selective Service System or exemption, if applicable. This is an entry-level, full-time position in Law Enforcement.
