Overview
Marksman Security Corporation is hiring immediately for a Flex Security Officer. Open availability for mornings, mid days, or overnight shifts. Pay rate $19.00/hr. Starting as a Flex Officer with the possibility of receiving a permanent schedule. We can guarantee at least a minimum of 16 hours a week. Security Officers, sometimes referred to as Security Guards, deter criminal activity, protect property and enforce rules on a property. Some monitor surveillance cameras and alarms from a stationary position, while others patrol areas and do security checks. In factories and offices, Security Officers provide protection for equipment and workers along with checking the credentials of vehicles and individuals coming and going from the premises. Responsibilities
Deterrence of criminal activity, protection of property, and enforcement of site rules. Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms or patrol assigned areas as assigned. Check credentials of vehicles and individuals entering or leaving the premises. Respond to security incidents or requests for assistance as directed. Positions (Available Flex Security Officer Roles)
Rover: Foot or vehicle patrols; detect suspicious behavior and prevent vandalism, theft, or other criminal activity. Gatehouse: Greet truck drivers and guests, check identification, log visitors, control access to the property. Front Desk: Customer service, access control, greet residents and guests, monitor CCTV, announce visitors, distribute packages. Device Check: Scan tags on approved devices and verify IMEI against paperwork. North Dock: Monitor trash dock for theft attempts, operate dock doors, track outbound trucks, count pallets, monitor during peak season. South Dock: Count pallets, monitor dock doors, monitor special projects during peak season, manage communications and document information. Metal Detector: Manage device check-in/out; ensure visitors clear through X-ray and prohibit prohibited items. Tracker: Track high-value loads via computer software. Other requirements: Must have open availability, strong customer service, and basic computer literacy. Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age or older High school diploma or equivalent Active PERC card required Professional demeanor and appearance Basic computer skills Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks Strong verbal and written communication skills Minimum of one year of customer service experience Minimum of one year of security experience Must pass pre-employment screening (background and drug) Please be able to perform physical tasks such as crawling, crouching, climbing stairs, kneeling, running, standing, and walking for extended periods Employment type
