Role description: We are seeking a Market Sector Leader to drive long-term, sustainable, profitable growth by building relationships with global/regional construction contractor clients and key industry partners. The focus is to drive growth across Arcadis\' three principal businesses in North America (Mobility, Places and Resilience), targeting a market sector with annual net revenue in excess of $150m and a double-digit growth trajectory. Responsibilities
Develop and implement Account Strategy: support the development and maintenance of a North American market sector strategy, incorporating growth aspirations, capacity, capability, risk appetite, and evolving market trends. Coordinate with senior/country leadership and key sales/operations leaders across local and global levels; conduct detailed market sector research and engage with contractor clients regionally. Client Development & Account Management: identify regional contractor key clients, contribute to global key account management, and undertake the role of Account Team Leader for at least one Cluster 2 key contractor client. Support management of relationships with global key contractor clients (Cluster 1) and develop annual revenue and margin projections with quarterly updates. Drive growth in market sector NOI, gross margin, weighted pipeline, and DRO to meet targets; expand a sustainable network of relationships; collaborate with Solutions teams on pursuit/positioning strategy; deliver a maximal client experience and conduct CX surveys. Pipeline Management: identify opportunities aligned with the market sector strategy; maintain a robust pipeline sized to meet revenue/margin targets; manage the pipeline in Oracle Sales Cloud (Redwood) and participate in evaluating AI-based solutions to support pipeline management. Communicate pipeline regularly to Business Areas to support resource planning and financial forecasting; coordinate engagement of staff for opportunity development. Market to Opportunity: lead teaming efforts with contractor clients, engage with Ultimate Clients/Owners, form strategic partnerships, develop statements of qualifications, and coordinate interviews; participate in industry events while evaluating cost/benefit of engagements. Negotiate contract documentation (NDAs, LOIs, MOUs, Teaming Agreements) with Operations staff to underpin teaming and post-award delivery feasibility; conduct due diligence and governance processes, including MORE sessions and Pursuit Committee reviews. Pursuit to Win: act as Pursuit Leader/Director for at least one major project pursuit annually and support live market sector pursuits with market knowledge and insights. Thought Leadership: coordinate Arcadis visibility at industry conferences and meetings within the market sector. Qualifications & Experience
Proven track record of developing and implementing sales strategies to profitably grow client accounts. Demonstrated leadership capability and ability to inspire multi-disciplinary teams. Strong North American construction sector network; expert at building external networks into profitable B2B relationships. Ambitious, entrepreneurial mindset with a growth orientation; adept at working across a matrix organization. Experience developing profitable sales strategies with key clients; ability to apply structured account management principles to strategic relationships with clients and delivery partners. Ability to inspire Account Leaders and team members; experience with Contractors and Developers across a diverse portfolio of projects; existing network within these organizations. Understanding of market opportunity pipelines and Arcadis positioning for success; familiarity with alternative delivery models (Design Build, Progressive Design Build, Integrated Project Delivery, Alliance) and private equity funding mechanisms (P3).
