Repair Technician 5 – Circuit Board Level, Bothell, WA. Sanmina Corporation is a leading integrated manufacturing solutions provider serving the EMS market with facilities worldwide. Job Purpose

Sanmina is looking for a Circuit Board Repair Technician to join our Product Repair Operations in Bothell, WA. Candidate must have experience in component level troubleshooting and board repair. Nature Of Duties

Discover and document what triggered the failure issues. Produce repair recipes and other preventive actions internal and external. Troubleshoot difficult failures. Assist and train other technicians. Work on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues. Make recommendations for new procedures. Act independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments. Act as facilitator and team leader. Perform incoming inspection and testing and repair of circuit boards received or assembled by outside suppliers, using approved testing procedures and schematics. Repair populated circuit boards that fail inspecting and testing as needed. Record type and quantity of defective circuit boards and notify QA Manager by issuing a CAR. Read, follow and execute PCB test procedures. Support Production, Repair and Engineering. Calibrate electronics testing standards. Troubleshoot PCBs to component level using various test equipment. Use power supplies, oscilloscopes, signal generators, DMMs and frequency counters. Soldering skills equivalent to IPC-A610 and IPC-JSTD. Read electronic schematics. Work independently with minimum supervision. Computer skills: use complex proprietary software and communications. Software used to communicate with PCB boards via RS232, RS485, USB and Bluetooth; also Microsoft Word and Excel. Set up, understand and troubleshoot COM port connections and related issues. ESD: knowledge of proper PCB board/component handling and ESD prevention practices. Analyze and interpret test data. Calibration: calibrate precision instrumentation. Firmware: basic understanding of programmers and ability to use several programming devices. Work in a fast-paced production environment. Sustain high board throughput with accuracy to satisfy production needs. Multitask, adapt, prioritize and change focus rapidly. Set up and conduct various intricate PCB test configurations using test leads and fixtures. Education And Experience

Associates Degree (A.A.) in electronics from a two-year college or technical school, equivalent military electronics schooling and two years related experience and/or training. Minimum 6+ years in a manufacturing field or similar. Read and write in English. Ability to calculate figures and apply basic algebra and electronic formulas.
