We are looking for a
Senior Chef
at Pillars of Hermantown. This culinary role is responsible for ensuring that meals are prepared and presented in accordance with applicable regulations and senior age resident expectations. The Cook position works on a team with Server/Culinary Assistants at our Hermantown, MN location. Responsibilities
Preparation of meals by following standardized recipes Handle and prepare food in a safe manner following policies, infection control, and safety standards Ensure timely production and meal service is provided to residents Set up line service Clean and sanitize equipment and work area after each use Assist with special events Conduct customer service rounding to gain feedback from residents on meals and service provided Supervise kitchen staff, including training, coaching, accountability for staff and their work performance, assist with performance evaluations and scheduling of staff Required Qualifications
Approved Food Sanitation Safety Course and Certification (must obtain within first 90 days). Accept Food Sanitation Safety Course and Certification from: Serv Safe; Always Food Safe; TAP Series, LLC; Advanced Health Institute 1-3 years of related experience (i.e. scratch, high volume, culinary, chef, assistant chef) Basic math skills and comfortable using Microsoft applications Strong problem solving and time management skills/experience Good written and oral communication skills Must be 18 years of age or older Preferred Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED preferred Food service vocational/technical education or training preferred Training, supervisory, leadership work experience or education preferred Ability to work effectively in a supervisory role or must be comfortable working in a supervisory capacity Benefit Overview

Hourly range: $21.41-$30.23. A pay rate within the posted range may be determined by factors including skills, knowledge, education, experience, and market conditions. The organization prioritizes pay equity and internal team equity when making offers. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical.
