Reporting to the Corporate Sanitation Leader, as the Sanitation Manager, you will provide hands-on leadership to the sanitation team on all shifts to ensure all related tasks are performed properly. This includes the cleanliness of the plants and external premises, all equipment, machinery, and utensils in the production processes. You will be responsible for ensuring all sanitation crew leaders and team members follow FGF’s food safety guidelines while completing their tasks. What FGF Offers

Follows GMPs, Food and Health and Safety regulations, and compliance with internal practices and external policies, procedures, and guidelines. Performs all job responsibilities under the strictest guidelines of the BRC Food Safety Standards. Lead by example and foster an environment of mutual respect, and create an open-door policy with the team members. With support from the Corporate Sanitation Leader, communicates plans and initiatives to effectively gain team member cooperation. Conduct pre-shift huddles, set goals for the shift, and provide feedback to team members. Define and communicate each team member’s impact on performance. Coordinate all sanitation activities to follow SSOPs and train team members. Maintain daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and yearly sanitation records, including pandemic records master sanitation checklist and documentation lists. Provide coaching and training to sanitation personnel; ensure team members have tools to perform tasks safely and correctly. Provide input on staffing levels and participate in sourcing and interviewing candidates. Demonstrate clear decision-making with team members. Knowledge of the company’s workers' compensation process for injuries and illnesses. Assist and monitor labor requirements to balance staffing levels and overtime costs. Ensure safety and environmental regulations are achieved and provide direction to the team to accomplish these goals. Maintain SSOPs and annual training; yearly chemical, GMP, Safety, and policy training for all team members. Assist in auditing sanitation SSOPs, master sanitation schedule, and internal/external audits. Assist in new product development huddles and launches. Train team members on chemicals, PPE use, and proper cleaning and reassembly of equipment. Perform Pre-Op inspections on equipment to verify cleaning effectiveness and release back to Production. Inspect plants and warehouses to ensure compliance with sanitation and safety procedures and relevant laws. Ensure sanitation paperwork is completed in a timely manner. Ensure company policies, quality procedures, and GMPs are understood and followed by team members. Lead the sanitation team to meet or exceed regulatory or customer expectations regarding food safety or quality. Backed by Corporate Sanitation Leader to meet or exceed regulators’ or customers’ expectations regarding food safety or quality. Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations. Schedule team members for the week and adjust as needed; communicate changes to affected team members. Ensure chemicals used are mixed with the proper solution per supplier specifications; maintain chemical inventory weekly. Perform evaluations and disciplinary actions for sanitation team members. Performs other duties as assigned by the Management Team. As needed, shift or work location may be changed by management. Required Experience
1-5 years of experience in a sanitation environment (food/bakery experience desirable) or related field 2-3 years of experience in a managerial role (preferably in a food manufacturing environment) Interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills with a desire to lead and motivate a team Exposure to GMPs, SSOPs, HACCP, SQF, BRC, OSHA, city regulations; familiarity in a food manufacturing setting Accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to detect sanitation issues Familiar with internal and external audits including city and state inspections Ability to manage difficult people; work independently with minimal supervision Flexible to workdays, afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays if needed Knowledge of Workers\' Compensation, EEOC, and employment laws Written and verbal communication skills; strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) Multi-tasking and attention to detail Post-secondary education is an asset Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred Location: Lebanon, IN
