CLIENT ACCOUNT MANAGER
on our Financial Operations team. Responsibilities include managing full cycle billing and collections for assigned attorneys and client portfolios, establishing and managing alternate rate structures, ensuring compliance with client billing and e-billing requirements, reviewing invoices, developing reporting, forecasting, and ensuring trust account management and matter engagement terms are followed. Responsibilities
Manage full cycle billing and collections for assigned attorneys and client portfolios; provide recommendations on portfolio changes; establish credibility with stakeholders and own results. Establish and manage alternate rate structures with input from Pricing and attorneys (special rates, discounts, fee caps, fixed fees, tiered discounts, matter budgets). Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure compliance with client billing and e-billing requirements; manage engagement to collections with tact and negotiation. Review invoices, analyze issues, finalize and submit in required formats; manage billing and collection arrangements. Develop and manage reporting to provide insight into client matter management and profitability. Prepare accurate monthly billing and collections forecasts based on attorney and client input. Ensure management of client trust accounts, on-account billing, payment application, and unapplied fund resolution. Review terms of engagement letters and outside counsel guidelines; establish backup support processes for portfolio matters. Meet with assigned attorneys to determine collection strategies; make recommendations. Anticipate outcomes, assess next steps, and propose improvements within the portfolio and Accounting Department. Develop, document and share best practices with colleagues; apply professional methods to billing and collection issues. Participate in departmental projects, seek improvements and efficiencies. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business preferred. Minimum three years of specialized billing, collection or account management experience. Hands-on experience performing complex accounting analysis. Law firm or professional services background with international exposure preferred. High business acumen and ability to multi-task; strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to assess information, anticipate issues and outcomes, and make effective decisions; produce detailed work. Strong client service orientation, teamwork, and ability to present ideas clearly; organized, able to work independently. Reliability and motivation to respond quickly to requests. About MoFo
