CATERING SALES COORDINATOR
As for your job description as a Catering Sales Coordinator you will be playing an integral part in the sales operation. Your main responsibility is to support the Catering Sales Team which will provide you the opportunity to continue learning about hospitality, event planning, customer service, catering, booking events, billing events, execution of events, administrative aspects of event planning and various other activities associated with these areas. Below are some key points that fall under your responsibility.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Answering office phones and taking inquiries for the catering sales team
Social Media Management – Post on our Instagram account, respond and handle messages on Instagram
Keep marketing materials up to date (Snapshots, website, etc)
Ensuring requested orders or schedules have been placed for events (i.e. coat check, lounge attendants, security, door man, kosher meals)
Ensure Banquet staff and Culinary Team receives the distribution of new and revised banquet event orders for all events
Greeting and directing guests for events if needed
Assisting with pre-event tasks (i.e. Printing buffet labels or menus, helping Operations or Kitchen if needed, etc)
Coordinate vendor access or load in times
Coordinate with the Accountant to ensure events are paid and invoices are accurate
Manage office expenses in coordination with the Accountant
Update internal programs to show proper revenue generation and event details
Maintains office efficiency by organizing leftover items from events, replenishing of office supplies, file organization, sorting of mail, shipping and receiving of items, etc.
Manage photo library so that proposals, site visits, and social media have up to date images and looks.
Complete Sales/Catering kits and menus for Clients
Assist Catering Sales Managers with client tastings or tasting menu’s
Assist Catering Sales Managers with event details such as banquet event orders, updating floorplans, client correspondence, and other daily tasks associated with event planning, under their guidance
Compensation
Fully paid health benefits for employees, which include health and dental.
$62,400.00 - $65,000.00 yearly salary commensurate with experience plus compensation package including twice yearly bonus.
Requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language
Must have familiarity with food and beverage basics, menu planning and event coordination.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks. Schedule will mostly be Monday – Friday but some weekends and evenings will be required.
Must be a self-motivator
Must work in a safe, prudent, and organized manner.
Must have mathematical skills, computer software aptitude, and some operation knowledge.
Must be able to relate to all levels of management
Must have superior organizational skills with ability to handle multiple tasks at once and prioritize.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Proficiency in All-Seated (or similar floorplan programs) and Triple Seat (or a similar booking program) preferred but not required.
In Person (Non-Remote) 5 Day Work Week as our business requires being in the office and on site.
