This description covers the responsibilities, qualifications, and expectations for the Retail Associate position. General Purpose

The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience. Responsibilities include greeting customers, maintaining a clean work area, ensuring proper merchandise presentation, following company best practices, and performing a range of tasks as business needs require. Essential Functions

Safety is the number one priority; practice safe behaviors at all times. Maintain a high level of awareness on the sales floor to create a safe shopping environment; keep egress clear and report unsafe conditions to Store Leadership. Greet customers and interact with courtesy and professionalism; recognize fellow associates using company programs. Assist customers with merchandise and questions; register-trained and able to help at the register with friendly service. Respond promptly to Customer Service calls and escalate to Store Leadership when needed. Represent and support the Company brand at all times. Perform cleaning tasks (sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping counters and mirrors) and replenish restrooms; disinfect high-touch areas to keep areas clean. Maintain professional appearance and adhere to dress code. Perform daily sizing and recovery to keep the store neat, clean, and well-merchandised to standards. Expedite newly received merchandise to the sales floor and merchandise according to monthly presentation guidelines. Understand Loss Prevention policies and merchandise protection standards. Safeguard confidential information, cash, and merchandise; follow all MOS policies for merchandise disposal. Follow policies concerning cash, checks, card transactions, refunds, voids, and offline procedures with accuracy. Demonstrate urgency and maximize productivity by adhering to Store best practices. Effectively communicate with Customers, Associates and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful, cooperative manner. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments. Physical Requirements / ADA

Ability to use all store equipment, including PDAs, registers, and PCs as required. Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store up to 100% of working time. Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, reach, and stoop; regularly lift up to 25 pounds; may involve heavier lifts for Stockroom shifts. Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies. Supervisory Responsibilities
