CubeSmart is currently seeking a
District Manager in Training . This role involves managing daily operations of a facility while participating in an intensive six to twelve-month training program designed to develop operational and managerial skills, understand store performance, and gain exposure to all aspects of CubeSmart's business. The DMT program focuses on four strategic areas: (i) store performance, (ii) operational knowledge, (iii) leadership development, and (iv) practical experience. The program prepares candidates for a future District Manager role overseeing multiple stores. Initially, the DMT will operate as a General Manager, with responsibilities including: Delivering excellent customer service and engaging with customers regularly. Selling merchandise such as packing supplies, locks, and insurance products. Managing daily store operations, including POS system use, space audits, cleanliness, and light repairs. Supporting store staff to improve sales and operational efficiency. Participating in monthly P&L reviews with the District Manager. Qualifications
Ideal candidates are ambitious, ethical, and customer-oriented. Requirements include: At least 5 years of progressively responsible employment, preferably in a service-related industry. Proven leadership and coaching abilities; supervisory experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred; an associate’s degree or equivalent experience is required. Experience managing budgets and P&L with at least $1 million in annual revenue. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and handle interruptions. Ability to work independently and remotely, with flexibility for travel and relocation within 12 months (relocation assistance provided).
