Freese and Nichols is seeking an experienced
Stormwater Engineer
in
Charlotte NC, Raleigh NC, Winston Salem NC, or Atlanta GA . The Stormwater Engineer will lead stormwater study and design projects, often supporting our FEMA Production and Technical Services (PTS) contract. Responsibilities include: Leading, completing, and reviewing hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) analyses for a variety of projects including FEMA Risk MAP studies. Performing independent studies and preparing reports of results and conclusions in a clear, concise manner. Directing other engineers and technicians on assigned tasks and reviewing and evaluating their results. Presenting and delivering final reports to clients. Preparing and verifying design calculations, design drawings, and specifications necessary for most economical method of construction. Sealing drawings and reports as required. Coordinating the work of drafting personnel, technicians, or other engineers on technical matters pertinent to project assignments, including FEMA Risk MAP studies. Working toward keeping tasks within schedule and budget to fit the needs of the project. Providing input and coordination with other departments and disciplines. Providing data, as required, for cost estimating, and securing preliminary equipment costs for reviews. Investigating new methods and implementing new ideas and/or procedures that will benefit the firm and its clients. Serving as Project Manager for projects that primarily require work within own group but will also require coordination with other FNI groups and the client.
