FTL War Memorial Job Summary

The Event Security team at FTL War Memorial and The Florida Panthers is seeking personable, attentive individuals for a part-time, event-based role. The position is vital to maintaining a safe environment from guest entry to departure. This role does not require a Florida D Security License, though D-License is preferred and non D-Licensed positions are limited based on events. Hours:

Approximately 15-25 hours per week (hours vary with event schedule), mostly nights, weekends, and possibly holidays. Essential Functions

Monitoring access to restricted areas, exterior doors to the arena, and maintaining a secure environment Controlling guest & vendor access inside or outside the venue Checking credentials to control employee and visitor access during events Monitoring and responding to security issues or potential risks Providing excellent customer service to enhance the guest experience Escorting guests when needed Following safety and security policies, programs, and procedures; able to manage crisis situations Handling radios and communicating professionally with other employees Reporting incidents to Supervisor or Management Other duties as assigned Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent Previous experience in security, event staff, and/or customer service is strongly preferred Upbeat, team-first attitude; actively helping others Willingness to learn and work with others Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills Assertive, detail-oriented, professional demeanor; able to work with others or independently as needed Flexible schedule; available on weekends/overnights Reliable transportation Must pass background check Work Environment

This position works in a venue with high noise levels, heavy crowd traffic, variable temperatures, bright or dim lighting, and occasional flashing lights or pyrotechnics. Physical Demands

Standing for sustained periods; walking long distances Pushing, pulling, lifting up to 30 pounds Talking and hearing to communicate effectively Visual acuity to observe surroundings and facilities Repetitive wrist and hand movements Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
