Sales Associate , you’ll play a key role in creating a positive shopping experience while supporting our store’s success. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a customer-facing role, enjoys teamwork, and takes pride in delivering excellent service. Job Purpose
The Sales Associate is responsible for providing outstanding customer service, assisting shoppers with their needs, and supporting sales goals. This role helps maintain an organized, welcoming store environment while promoting the values of Habitat Charlotte Region. Key Responsibilities
Warmly greet and assist customers, identifying their needs and offering solutions. Maintain strong product knowledge to communicate features and benefits effectively. Support sales goals by promoting products and upselling when appropriate. Keep the sales floor clean, organized, and visually appealing. Accurately and efficiently process transactions using the point-of-sale system. Handle customer inquiries and concerns professionally, escalating when necessary. Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and contribute to a positive work culture. Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and conducting counts. Support promotional activities and special events to drive engagement and sales. Follow company policies, safety standards, and security procedures. Qualifications
Education & Experience
Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. Minimum 2 years of experience in sales or customer service. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Retail experience strongly preferred. Skills & Abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Effective team player with a positive attitude. Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment.
