Overview
QE Solar is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented
Senior Accountant
to join our finance team. This role is ideal for a high-performing individual contributor who brings strong leadership, a systems mindset, and deep experience managing complex, multi-entity accounting environments. The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in the
monthly consolidation of financials across multiple companies and books , and will support the Controller and CFO in producing accurate and timely financial statements and business unit-level insights. The ideal candidate will have experience working with
NetSuite , managing
multi-entity consolidations , and leading accounting process integrations during
mergers and acquisitions .
Responsibilities
Manage the monthly financial close process across multiple entities and books, ensuring timely and accurate consolidations
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements
Oversee consolidation entries and intercompany eliminations
Prepare
business unit-level financial reporting , including creation of
profit and loss statements
for each business unit
Perform
expense allocations across business units
and manage
intercompany and inter-business unit allocations
Support the integration of newly acquired businesses, including accounting systems, processes, and reporting structures
Review and guide the work of staff accountants across reconciliations, journal entries, and period-end processes
Drive improvements in accounting processes, automation, and financial transparency
Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and external audit standards
Collaborate with the Controller and CFO on strategic financial analysis, board reporting, and forecasting
Maintain and enhance the NetSuite ERP, including reporting structures, chart of accounts, and automation tools
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA track preferred
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a multi-entity environment
Strong experience with NetSuite ERP and financial reporting tools
Proven ability to manage consolidated financials, intercompany eliminations, and business unit allocations
Experience supporting or leading M&A accounting integrations
Deep understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation
Demonstrated ability to manage business unit reporting and expense allocation
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working as an individual contributor in a leadership-level role
Preferred Skills
Background in renewable energy, infrastructure, or operations-intensive businesses
Familiarity with Concur, QuickBooks, and BI/reporting tools
Strong Excel and financial modeling capabilities
