Overview
Command and Control (C2) Ship Self-Defense System (SSDS) Technical Lead at CACI International Inc. The role involves leading a C2 SSDS engineering team, serving as the technical liaison for PMS 312 reporting to the Warfare System Engineering Manager (WSEM) and Deputy WSEM, and overseeing development, testing, and upgrades with assessment of impact to ship construction or overhaul. Effective tracking, mitigation, and communication with leadership are essential. Responsibilities
Identifies, assesses, and develops systems engineering solutions to technical issues for C2 systems, considering cost and schedule Resolves conflicting system requirements and technical issues with the appropriate In-Service Engineering Agents (ISEAs) and/or Program Acquisition Resource Manager (PARMs) Develops Whitepapers and Briefs for Technical Issues (as required) Tracks, reviews, and provides feedback on documentation including System Requirements, Technical Reports and Manuals, Ship Specifications, Interface and Installation Documents, Ship Alterations (SHIPALTs), Ship Change Documents (SCD), MIL-STDs, Naval Instructions, Naval Messages, and Government Furnished Equipment/Information Lists (GFE/GFI) Ensures technical compliance with NAVSEA, NAVY, and DOD policies Provides weekly status reports, schedules, and briefs/presentations Supports team meetings, technical meetings, program reviews, and conferences Leads WIPT Working Groups as required Qualifications
Required: BS Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related ABET-accredited technical degree, or equivalent military combat systems experience 7+ years of engineering experience or equivalent military carrier combat systems experience Experience staffing products and communicating with senior leadership (military and civilian) US Citizen able to obtain Secret Clearance Desired: Master’s degree in Engineering or related ABET-accredited technical degree Familiarity with NAVSEA, PEO IWS, and NAWCAD organizations Secret Clearance What You Can Expect
