Job Description The Retail Banker I is a customer liaison integral to delivering TD’s Brand promise by utilizing financial expertise and consultative advice to assist Customers with their banking solutions/needs. This role supports business objectives that enable growth through identifying appropriate TD solutions that help Customers achieve their financial goals and optimize their relationship with TD.

Depth & Scope

Proficient in products, services and routine transactions to identify opportunities to educate on Bank products and services.

Broad knowledge of the full product suite, services and processes of the business area, with low to moderate complexity/risk.

Builds and nurtures Customer relationships by consistently displaying product knowledge and actively listening to Customer needs.

Recommends products based on Customer needs and highlights features and benefits.

Uses Customer relationship management tools for proactive assessment, solution identification and outbound sales activities.

Independently resolves customer issues, errors and problems, escalating when necessary.

Explains detailed or complicated information to customers.

Maintains proficiency gained through job related training.

Participates in Customer outreach, servicing and advice activities.

Engages in conversations about loan products and facilitates application intake.

Maintains active registration status with NMLS.

Education & Experience

HS Diploma or GED.

1+ years’ experience working with customers and/or sales in any capacity.

Teller experience preferred.

Completes Teller training upon hire.

Ability to engage customers and educate them on products and services.

Strong organizational skills for a fast‑paced environment.

Excellent communication skills; concise, clear, consistent.

Ability to schedule and prioritize work.

Works independently and meets deadlines.

Sound judgment and effective problem solving.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Notary License (Preferred).

OCC Language

Position falls under Loan Originator and Mortgage Loan Originator definitions per Regulation Z and SAFE Act.

Eligible for employment with a covered financial institution under Regulation Z.

Eligible for registration as a registered mortgage loan originator with the NMLS.

Results on a criminal background check and credit report required by federal law.
