A premier Private Equity Real Estate Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated
Technical Accountant
to join their finance team in NYC. This is a pivotal role within a fast-paced and sophisticated investment environment. Base pay range

You will be responsible for complex financial reporting, technical accounting research, and ensuring compliance across a diverse portfolio of real estate assets and investment vehicles. Key Responsibilities
Financial Statement Ownership:
Prepare and own standalone financial statements for multi-family properties, commercial properties, and various fund vehicles, ensuring compliance with
US GAAP
and
IFRS . Technical Accounting:
Lead technical accounting research and analysis, providing clear conclusions and documentation on complex real estate transactions and emerging accounting standards. Audit & Compliance:
Serve as a primary liaison with external auditors, managing the successful completion of financial audits and supporting financial statement disclosures. Stakeholder Communication:
Respond to inquiries from investors and external sponsors, effectively communicating complex financial information. Process Improvement:
Assist in reviewing legal documents to track reporting requirements, and contribute to the creation and documentation of accounting/finance
SOPs . Special Projects:
Engage in various ad-hoc analyses and special projects critical to the firm\'s operations and growth. What You Bring (Qualifications)
The ideal candidate is an analytical self-starter with a proven track record in technical accounting and financial reporting. Education & Certification:
BS degree in Accounting (or equivalent).
CPA designation is highly preferred. Experience:
3+ years of experience
is required, with a strong preference for candidates coming from a
Public Accounting
background (Audit or Advisory) with real estate client exposure. Technical Knowledge:
Expertise in both
US GAAP
and
IFRS
is mandatory, along with demonstrated experience researching and applying accounting literature to complex real estate matters. Real Estate & PE Exposure:
Prior experience in
Private Equity
and/or
Real Estate
is a significant plus. Systems Proficiency:
Highly proficient in
Microsoft Excel
and other Office applications. Experience with real estate accounting software (e.g.,
Yardi, MRI ) or reporting tools (e.g.,
Workiva/Wdesk ) is a plus. Professional Skills:
Exceptional
attention to detail , strong
organizational skills , and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables under tight deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with both internal and external stakeholders. Seniority level
